tent rocks

As promised, here are some of the pictures Dad-o took on our celebratory hike at Tent Rocks. On the way up to the overlook, Squirt hiked and climbed most of the way on her own, only hopping in the carrier on the really steep last stretch. She rode in the carrier on the way down, and fell asleep about halfway through! She marvelled at the tall canyon walls as she scrambled over every boulder she could get her hands on (regardless if it was actually in her path). She pointed out birds and trees and rocks and, in her super-secret toddler language, other marvellous things that I couldn't quite make out. The scenery was spectacular and unlike anything we'd ever seen before. It was the perfect setting to celebrate the life of such a spectacular person.

Climbing and hiking.

And exploring.

Hiking is hard work!
